1. SITUATION

• A. Enemy Forces

  • ISIS aligned Local religious extremist group knows as “Tawba“ have encamped themselves within the region, Their estimated
    strength is around 300 – 500 fighters organized into small cells. Their leadership is centralized under regional commander, Al-skib-
    idih-Sigman, who is believed to direct operations via couriers and encrypted communications.

• B. Friendly Forces

  • Philippine 4th Infantry Division (PJSF) will be the primary force in the region to neutralize extremist threats. The intent is to eliminate Sigman and rescue the kidnapped foreign nationals.

2. MISSION

The Philippine 4th Infantry Division will conduct counter insurgency operations within this region of the island of Mindanao to destroy the enemy encampment of the extremist group and recover the foreign nationals that have been kidnapped by the Tawba group.

3. EXECUTION

Commander’s Intent

  • The purpose of this operation is to neutralize the Tawba’s encampment in the region and recover the kidnapped foreign nationals to restore stability in the area and deny the enemy operational freedom. The desired end state is the destruction of enemy capabilities, the safe recovery of hostages, and a secure operational environment free of extremist threats. Key tasks include isolating the enemy encampment, conducting a precision assault, and ensuring the hostages’ safety during extraction.

Concept of Operation

Phase I – Reconnaissance and Isolation:
o The 4th Reconnaissance (ESPER) will conduct surveillance of the enemy encampment to confirm its location, size, and defenses.

Phase II – Assault:

o Legion and artillery assets, will conduct a coordinated assault on the enemy encampment.
o The assault will focus on overwhelming enemy positions with minimal collateral damage to preserve the safety of the hostages.

Phase III – Hostage Recovery and Stabilization:

o Legion will secure and extract the hostages once the encampment is cleared.
Tasks to Subordinate Units

  1. ESPER:

o Conduct reconnaissance of the enemy encampment and provide real-time intelligence updates.
o Maintain observation on all escape routes.

  1. Legion:

o Lead the assault on the enemy encampment.
o Coordinate direct fire support to neutralize enemy positions.
o Conduct hostage recovery operations immediately following the initial assault.

  1. Rook:

o Provide fire support for infantry

  1. Warhammer:

o Provide precision indirect fire support during the assault.

  1. ACE:

o Provide aerial support through CAS, Transport, and Logistics.

  1. SUSTAINMENT
    Logistics
  • Resupply will be coordinated through ACE
  • Ammunition and rations to be carried.

B. Medical

  • Casualty Evacuation through established CCPs or MEDEVACs
