Is currently experiencing internal strife even with Military intervention due to heavy influence of a insurgency known as the Salvación sin fronteras, which resulted in economic problems for the nation. In the last two days an attempt of a full blown takeover of the Astares Region was initiated by the insurgent group with the assistance of multiple SAPIN Deserters. The SAPIN Armed forces responded with a counteroffensive to retake the region and to retain order. Operation Sky Shield was executed, a plan to reinforce the battered element in Niakala and retake Regis (East of Niakala) and its airfields to ensure a swift end to the insurgency movement in the region.
